Eagle MWIR 640
(640x512 format MWIR camera)

Nova Sensors developed a 640x480 pixel format MWIR integral Stirling cooled, high performance camera system.
The camera system development was derived from the 640x512 SWIR electronics developed by Nova and took only
three months from concept to camera operation. The primary components of the system include an SCD Pelican MZ
integrated dewar cooler assembly (IDCA) using a FLIR 0403 640x512 readout integrated circuit (ROIC) and
Indium Antimonide (InSb) detector array, Nova Sensors’ miniature camera electronics board stack,
an Ophir MWIR 22-275mm, F/5.5, continuous zoom lens, and bracket assembly.
The camera was designed to be a payload onboard the Scan Eagle UAV but can be easily modified for other air vehicles –
both manned and unmanned, and ground stationary and vehicle based. Other variations using other detectors and f/# are in development.
