Mini DSP

Small form factor high performance digital signal processor performs 1 and 2 point nonuniformity correction, bad pixel replacement and data re-vectoring operations at up to 80 Mpixels/second.




Nova's Miniature DSP board performs the same functions as the PCI form-factor DSP and processing image corrections at 80 million pixels/second.

Bad pixels replaced with good neighbors, selected according to a pixel replacement mapping technique.
Pixel Data Re-vectoring
Multiple parallel FPA outputs produce pixel image data that must be "unscrambled" to produce a proper image.  These electronics perform such "arbitrary pixel re-vectoring".
