VAST      320 x 256 Focal Plane Frame Rate Performance Comparisons

These plots indicate the frame rate capabilities of Nova's 320 x 256 pixel MWIR and visible VAST     focal plane arrays. 

• Frame rate increases as the size and number of foveal regions is reduced.
• Frame rate is a weak function of the size of background superpixel regions.
• Frame rate increases because superpixels are read out only once for the entire superpixel region.
